Seisan designed and built a 3D virtual reality game experience that reinforces ATV safety principles in a realistic, interactive environment for a national provider of auto, home, and personal insurance.
Design and develop a fully interactive VR training experience. Building a safety-focused simulation.
Seisan delivered a Meta Quest 3 VR application designed to immerse users in a realistic ATV experience that reinforces essential safety behaviors.
The national insurance provider sought an innovative and engaging way to educate customers and communities on safe ATV operation. Recognizing the impact of immersive learning, the company partnered with Seisan to design and build a 3D virtual reality game experience that reinforces ATV safety principles in a realistic, interactive environment. The VR application was developed for the Meta Quest 3 headset, combining advanced simulation, customized avatars, and dynamic environments to deliver an educational experience unlike anything they had previously been able to offer.
The insurance provider’s internal team lacked the specialized skillset and technical experience required to create a fully interactive VR training experience. Building a safety-focused simulation required:
Additionally, the insurer needed a creative partner with domain expertise—Seisan’s combination of VR development skill and real-world ATV riding knowledge offered a unique advantage.
Another significant challenge was their limited experience in generating 3D assets, requiring Seisan to provide extensive creative direction, asset support, and consultation throughout the project.
A major challenge arose when the avatar safety gear combinations produced 3D assets too large to deploy through SideQuest. Seisan solved this by developing a custom loading and packaging manager that optimized assets and reduced memory requirements, ensuring reliable distribution and performance.
To ensure the experience was educational, intuitive, and engaging, Seisan used a highly iterative UX process:
This approach ensured the final application aligned with the insurer’s safety message, brand identity, and user expectations.
Users are able to select from a gallery of player types and fully outfit them to their preference so they can experience the ATV through different physical strength capabilities.
Users see instructions and tips as they progress through the environment and terrain, so they can stay safe and on the right path.
The app was designed to easily swap out signage and allow for in-app revenue generation based on any scenario desired.
Seisan applied rigorous QA and readiness workflows tailored to VR development:
This ensured the VR experience was stable, realistic, and ready for public use.
The Insurance provider now has a high-impact, immersive VR simulation that enables users to learn ATV safety through realistic, hands-on experience. The project expanded the client’s digital offerings and demonstrated the organization’s commitment to safety education through next-generation technology.
Key outcomes include:
This project marks an entry into a new realm of experiential digital solutions for the insurance provider, establishing a modern, innovative channel for safety education and consumer engagement.
