Seisan worked with The Orion Companies to architect and deliver Orion Constellation AI, a modern internal management and sales intelligence portal.

Develop a centralized portal unifying complex operational data, including Sales and Work Orders, supporting custom chemical mix formulations.

Solution

Seisan engineered a cloud-based, high-performance web portal—Orion Constellation AI—deployed on Azure and built with a Python-driven backend connected to a Postgres data warehouse.

Working collaboratively with The Orion Companies, Seisan helped architect and deliver Orion Constellation AI, a modern internal management and sales intelligence portal. 

Designed to support both executive leadership and field sales teams, the platform provides fast, scalable access to mission-critical reporting, dashboards, and operational metrics. Built as part of a broader modernization initiative, the system integrates deeply with Orion’s highly customized NetSuite environment to create a unified, data-driven decision framework for the entire organization.

Project Overview

The Orion Constellation AI platform was designed as a comprehensive operational intelligence system that unifies previously disconnected workflows into a single, coherent environment. Built for both daily operational needs and strategic executive review, the portal offers a flexible, role-based interface that adapts to how Orion’s teams work. 

At the core of the platform is a powerful data transformation pipeline, developed in Python, that ingests, cleans, models, and reconciles the complex data generated by Orion’s highly customized NetSuite environment. Many of Orion’s NetSuite transactions—such as custom Work Orders for chemical mixing processes, sales order flows, nonstandard A/R and A/P logic, and tailored transaction classifications—required special handling. Seisan engineered a suite of data scripts capable of mapping these custom workflows into structured, analytics-ready datasets that maintain business meaning while improving usability. 

With this foundation, the system exposes a set of real-time analytics dashboards tailored for different groups: 

1. Executive Dashboards

Consolidated revenue trends, sales performance, operational throughput, and financial summaries

2. Sales Representative Dashboards

Customer-level transaction intelligence, purchasing patterns, performance charts, and growth insights

3. Operational Dashboards

Connections between sales activity, production workflows, and fulfillment processes The platform also includes a dynamic reporting engine, allowing users to generate flexible data views, drill into transactions, and export reports directly into Excel or PDF for presentation-ready use in leadership updates, board meetings, and customer engagements. Behind the scenes, the architecture leverages Azure-hosted Linux infrastructure, a PostgreSQL workset database, and a Python-based API layer, ensuring scalability, performance, and long-term compatibility with future AI and machine-learning innovations.
